Zimbra Mail IMAP Configuration Guide

Use this if Exchange/ActiveSync is not preferred.

Mail Server Settings

Incoming Mail (IMAP)

Server: zimbra.ozhosting.com
Port: 993
Encryption: SSL/TLS
Username: Full email address
Password: Email password

Outgoing Mail (SMTP)

Server: zimbra.ozhosting.com
Port: 587 StartTLS (encryption) or 465 TLS (encryption)
Authentication: Required
Username: Full email address
Password: Email password

Setup in Outlook (Windows – Manual IMAP)

Step 1: Open Outlook

Go to File → Add Account.

Step 2: Advanced Setup

Click Advanced Options
Tick Let me set up my account manually
Click Connect

Step 3: Select Account Type

Choose IMAP.

Step 4: Enter Server Settings

Incoming Mail

Server: zimbra.ozhosting.com
Port: 993
Encryption: SSL/TLS

Outgoing Mail

Server: zimbra.ozhosting.com
Port: 587 StartTLS (encryption) or 465 TLS (encryption)
Tick My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication

Step 5: Enter Login Details

Username: Full email address
Password: Email password

Click Next → Done.

Setup in Outlook for Mac (Manual IMAP)

Step 1:

Go to Outlook → Settings → Accounts → Add Account

Step 2:

Enter your email → Choose IMAP if auto setup fails.

Step 3:

Enter the following:

Incoming Server

IMAP Server: zimbra.ozhosting.com
Port: 993
Use SSL to connect: Yes

Outgoing Server

SMTP Server: zimbra.ozhosting.com
587 StartTLS (encryption) or 465 TLS (encryption)
Override default port: Yes

Username and password are the same for both.

Click Add Account.

Mobile Phone Setup (iPhone / Android)

Settings → Mail → Accounts → Add Account → Other Mail Account → Add Mail Account → Select IMAP and enter:

Incoming Server:

Host Name: zimbra.ozhosting.com
Username: Full email address
Password: Email password

Outgoing Server:

Host Name: zimbra.ozhosting.com
Username: Full email address
Password: Email password

Make sure:

Incoming Port = 993 (SSL ON)
Outgoing Port = 465 (SSL ON) or 587(STARTTLS)
