Auto-renew (the default)
Domains renew automatically. We raise a renewal invoice before the expiry date and charge your saved card, so keep your card up to date. You'll also get expiry reminder emails; some come from Domain Services, the registry service we use.
Renew now
- Log in to portal.ozhosting.com and go to Domains > My Domains.
- Tick the domain and choose Renew, or open it and choose Renew Domain.
- Pick the renewal period and pay the invoice.
Stop a domain renewing
- In Domains > My Domains, open the domain.
- Set Auto Renew to Disabled.
The domain stays active until its expiry date, then lapses. Your website and email on that domain stop working when it does.
The domain has expired
- .au domains can usually be renewed for a short time after expiry, after which they're deleted and anyone can register them. Act the same day.
- .com and other domains go through grace and redemption periods. A restore fee may apply in redemption.
